Letter from the Secretary-General of SEZMUN'24

 

Esteemed Delegates, Honorable Advisors, Distinguished Guests,

I am honoured and pleased to officially welcome you to the first SEZMUN Human Rights Day Symposium 2024. As Secretary-General of our first conference, I am thrilled to see such a passionate group of individuals gathered here to engage in collaborative problem-solving and diplomacy. ​​

​

This conference marks a significant milestone for SEZMUN, a conference dedicated to raising diplomacy, global awareness and critical thinking among young leaders of our world.​

​

The Theme of SEZMUN’24 is ‘Human Rights’. The world faces critical human rights challenges that affect millions, including systemic discrimination, violence against marginalised groups and restrictions of fundamental liberties. Poverty and inequality in our society further complicate access to basic human rights these days, and thus, to develop resolutions to these urgent problems we will gather in our conference and formulate a Manifesto to be sent to the United Nations Türkiye Office.​​​​

We have an incredible lineup of committees, expert speakers and workshops designed to enhance your experience.​​​
